I’m not a mopar guy but damn the Challenger design just nails it. Clean, perfect modern interpretation of the classic retro shape. Could use a little more sidewall though.

I refuse to put any wheel larger than 18" on the Magnum.

I’ll have 275/50R18 tires on it later this year.

I will say Mopar hit the nostalgia factor and has aged very well but to me it’s too big. I know that old ones were Elephants and had real Hemis called elephant but it looks like you have to loaf that thing through a corner. And at 4200+ I bet you have to.

Yeah, but you’re not supposed to go around corners in any kind of hurry in these. Nobody judges the Prius by its ability to corner, or its ability to do burnouts, because those aren’t things it’s supposed to do. The Challenger is a good looking highway mile eater.

Yeah, as much as I generally dislike Chrysler products, and would probably never own one, even I’ll admit their designers did a solid fucking job on the Challenger.

It’s probably my next car. I can’t say I’m totally enamored of the looks - in a perfect world, I’d prefer something more modern and less retro - but, it’s close enough.

I would say that’s true but the prius isn’t being compared to the Camaro or Mustang, the Challenger is. And the originals were fairly competent without a hemi at taking corners in the Trans am series.
